Hey guys! If you read this blog you may know that I try to promote and use as many cruelty-free and vegan products as I can. So when I recently ran out of my LUSH shampoo I went looking for another animal-friendly brand to try on my hair! I was recommended the brand Noughty a while ago by their twitter team when I asked twitter in general if there were any vegan hair product brands that were available on the high street, so I decided to give them a go!
Noughty products are both vegan and cruelty-free which is great in my book! I love the animal testing disclaimer on the back of their product, it’s really sweet and you can tell that they have put a lot of effort into manufacturing a product that endeavours to be animal-friendly and use as many natural ingredients as possible. On their website they promote the fact that they don’t use ingredients such as silicone, sulphate or parabens and pride their products on being 97% natural.
I got the ‘To The Rescue’ shampoo product from my local Superdrug but you can also buy the products online at Superdrug or at Noughty’s website here. It was quite reasonably priced at £6.99 – not as cheap as a lot of other, animal-testing, brands but I never mind paying extra for animal-friendly brands. I love the packaging design of the shampoo, it’s a really sleek, aesthetic-looking product and the colour scheme is really effective and eye-catching:
When I used the shampoo for the first time, I fell in love with the smell of it! It smells absolutely heavenly, like a rich almond and vanilla aroma and I can’t get enough of it. It was quite hard to work the shampoo into a lather that reached my roots, I had to really put some effort in to get it to penetrate all the way to my scalp but I’m not sure if thats because my hair is so thick rather than the shampoo! Once I’d got it there though, it worked really well – my hair felt super soft and clean once it was dried and it smelled amazing! I can’t wait to go out and buy the partner conditioner and see what it’s like! I would definitely recommend this brand and am really happy with my purchase!
Thanks for reading, let me know if you can recommend any more vegan hair product brands that you’ve found to be really good because I love reviewing them!
