Hi guys! It’s been a while since my last post and unfortunately life has gotten in the way of blogging recently! You know how it goes!

So if you read my sporadic blog posts, you’ll know that I’m vegan and I try to use products that are vegan and cruelty-free as often as possible. I find that LUSH has a great range of animal-friendly products so when I needed some new conditioner I headed to the nearest store!

I experienced some fantastic customer service and was shown loads of different treatments and conditioners until I settled on these:

‘Damaged’ Hot Oil Treatment

‘Veganese’ Hair Conditioner

The hot oil treatment was really fun to do, you pour some hot water from the kettle into a mug and then put the treatment (which is on the end of a lollipop stick) into the water andĀ leave it to dissolve. Then, once it’s cooled down (don’t make the mistake I did of shoving my hand into really hot oil and being surprised that it was very hot), you put it all over your hair and wait 20 minutes before washing it out.

After washing the treatment out, I used my Jason And The ArganOil shampoo bar and then used the Veganese conditioner to finish up. Not a huge fan of the smell of the conditioner I must say, it smelled really strongly of lemon and reminded me slightly of toilet cleaner šŸ¤”

But once my hair was dry it was clear that both products had done a fantastic job! My hair was so soft and smooth and felt really healthy and thick!

The hot oil treatment I was told lasts up to 4 weeks in your hair so I will definitely be trying another one next month! I definitely recommend these products although I will be looking for a better-smelling conditioner when this one runs out!

Thanks for reading, have you tried any of the hot oil treatments from LUSH and which of their products do you recommend?

Hi everyone!

This is the first time a brand has ever sent me anything and I am super excited to review their products!

So I was recently approached by a brand called Fair Squared to try a couple of their products, which are all vegan, cruelty-free, and fair trade. You can check out their UK website here! They are mainly online-sellers but you can buy some of their stuff in Oxfam and in NUS student campus shops. I also found some of their stuff on ethicalsuperstore.com (Full stockist list here)

They are committed to providing ethical products which I love! And they are certified by Peta, The Vegan Society, and other partners, which makes them a great brand for me to review! You can have a look at their list of logo partnersĀ here.

They sent me a couple of samples of their coconut product range – theĀ Coconut Body Lotion andĀ Coconut Body Scrub.

The packaging is simple and cute and they came with a leaflet about the company and their products which was a nice touch!

The body lotion smells gorgeous, even my boyfriend commented on how nice I smelled even though he is usually pretty oblivious to these things! šŸ˜‚ It also feels so silky and smooth and when I put it on, my skin felt hydrated and smooth, and not at all greasy like some moisturisers can be! The moisturising effect lasts a long time too, I put some on at 10am and it’s now 2pm and my skin still feels hydrated and happy.

The body scrub doesn’t smell as coconutty as the lotion but it’s such a good exfoliator! The exfoliating bits in it are actual coconut flakes instead of micro beads which is amazing because this just goes to show how committed the company are to ethical products and the environment. Plastic micro beads are harmful to the environment and are supposed to be banned in the UK this year!

I am super grateful to Fair Squared for asking me to review their products, and I really admire the company’s environmental ethical values. I definitely recommend both products I reviewed, so if you are looking for something that makes you feel good about yourself in more ways than one, go check them out!

Have you used any of their products and are there any you would recommend?

Let me know in the comments!
